Dr Glat then received advanced training at NYU’s Institute of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery considered one of the finest organizations of it’s kind in the world. After that he took a fellowship at Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital which provided him additional opportunities to learn and work with some of the foremost leaders in the field of plastic surgery.

Dr. Paul Glat is consistently in demand as a guest lecturer at plastic and reconstructive surgery meetings in the United States and abroad. His writing and research have appeared in several major plastic surgery text books and over 90 plastic surgery publications. Dr. Glat has also been featured on ABC and NBC news.

Dr. Paul Glat is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic surgery. The vigorous certification process is separate from medical school and includes five years of additional surgical training, a plastic surgery residency program, and challenging written and oral exams. Most states do not restrict doctors from calling themselves cosmetic surgeons, even if they have never received formal training in the field. Therefore, it is extremely important to find a board-certified cosmetic or plastic surgeon to ensure his or her qualifications and credentials have been verified and approved.
